Why Give?
Dear Parents and Performing Arts Family, As we prepare for Giving Tuesday on December 2, I want to take a moment to thank you for the love, trust, and support you’ve shown our program. As many of you know, I run this theatre and performing arts company as a Black-owned, single-woman business, and every opportunity your children receive on stage is truly built with my own hands, heart, and resources. This year, we are producing one major show, which means that the usual revenue that helps sustain our studio throughout the season is significantly reduced. While I am committed to giving our students a high-quality theatre experience, the reality is that the costs to run a successful performing arts company are extensive and often unseen. Your Giving Tuesday contributions help support essential expenses such as: • Professional licensing and scripts • Costumes, props, and set materials • Theater rental and technical crews • Music tracks, choreography hours, and rehearsal space • Insurance, administrative fees, and operational costs Like many small arts businesses, especially those run independently, these costs are typically far greater than ticket sales or tuition alone can cover. With only one show this season, the profit margin for the Theatre Director (me!) will be at a bare minimum, but my heart remains focused on giving your children a meaningful, professional, confidence-building performing arts experience. If you would like to support us this Giving Tuesday, your gift — whether large or small — directly strengthens the future of our program. It allows us to continue providing a creative, safe, and inspiring place where young artists can shine. Ways to Give: • Zelle & Paypal (missmariexodance@yahoo.com) • Direct link below (I can send links upon request.) Thank you for sowing into the arts and believing in the vision. Your generosity ensures that our students can keep growing, performing, and discovering the best versions of themselves through theatre. With gratitude and love, Miss Marie Theatre Director & Founder
